We would like to welcome all of our mother’s, father’s and families in taking the next step to helping and healing on another. Creating awareness for loss of all of our children is an important step in creating knowledge and understanding. This provides us with the opportunity to increase the topic of infant loss awareness to educate all around us of the tragedy involved in the deaths of unborn and newborn babies. It also enables us to consider how, as individuals and communities, we can meet the needs of bereaved parents and family members.
A day will be scheduled (date to be disclosed soon) when all grieving parents could come together and be surrounded by love and support from their friends and families, a day where the community could better understand their pain and learn how to reach out to those grieving. This would be a day to reflect on the loss yet embrace the love. While our babies’ lives were so brief, they were also very meaningful. Yest, there was not a time to talk about them. Our society seemed to forget or perhaps, simply didn’t know how to reach out. So we will proclaim this day to be “Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day”
On this day we are asking everyone in all time zones, worldwide, to join us in a candle lighting ceremony. This will be our start date to starting a future of awareness for all.
